LeeAnn Modestino, J.D.
LeeAnn Modestino is licensed to practice in New York, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. While attending Law School at Suffolk Law, Ms. Modestino served as the Founding Notes Editor on the Journal of Health & Biomedical Law and graduated with a legal concentration in Health and Biomedical Law. She interned at Health Law Advocates and was also a member of the Health Law Society.
Prior to joining Hassan & Reardon, Ms. Modestino practiced in Saratoga Springs, New York, where she grew up, and worked on a variety of health related cases. She successfully negotiated a settlement in a National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program case and also worked on many personal injury cases. Additionally, Ms. Modestino has gained employment law experience working in-house at a South Shore company.
Recently, through Health Law Advocates pro-bono network, she handled a second level insurance appeal to a patient’s employer in a self-funded plan. Ms. Modestino’s success in the appeal saved the patient more than $65,000 and assured that the doctors were fully compensated for the extensive surgical procedures they performed.
Ms. Modestino enjoys running road races and competing in sprint distance triathlons. This summer she raised over $2,700 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training and competed in two triathlons. She also enjoys spending time at her family’s camp in the Adirondack mountains boating and skiing.
